In 1999, the SCFA established a Compassionate Disbursement Committee to aid members in the event of a dire financial emergency or crisis. In the event of a dire emergency or crisis, members may request assistance and be assured of confidentiality.

The committee is comprised of the SCFA President, the VP Contract Administration and the Treasurer, with the VP Liaison acting as alternate.

Up to, but not more than 3% of the members’ equity can be gifted to this committee.
