Professional development funds can be used for a variety of purposes that may include attending conferences, executing projects related to your field of expertise, or taking courses. Start by discussing options with your school chair or supervisor if you aren’t sure whether your activity is considered PD.
You are eligible for PD funds if you are:
- Faculty on a regularized full-time or proportional appointment
- Faculty on a probationary appointment after satisfactory completion of 2 semesters
- Faculty on short-term appointments may be eligible if the activity occurs during contract time — check with your school chair to verify
